Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
Arrive collects nothing, because it cannot. The app holds no networking code: no analytics, no accounts, no advertising identifiers, and no connection of any kind to us or to anyone else. Everything you do stays in a file on your own device and goes when you delete the app.
This policy runs short because there is little to describe. We would rather it stayed that way.
Who we are
Arrive is a wellbeing app published by Escape Velocity Studio Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), the data controller for the limited purposes below. Reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
Nothing leaves your phone. Arrive has no server component, no account system and no third-party SDKs, so your information has no route to us. What the app writes, it writes locally:
| What it keeps | Why |
|---|---|
| What to call you | Optional, and you can skip it |
| The word you tapped | To pick a practice, and to show how a session moved you |
| Practice history | So a second session moves along the arc instead of repeating the first |
| How you felt after | The per-session and weekly views in the app |
| Your settings | Theme, sound, reminder time, Face ID lock |
What we do not collect
- Your email address, or any account identifier. The app never asks for one.
- Usage analytics of any kind.
- Advertising identifiers, device fingerprints, or location.
- Your check-ins, your practice history, or your health data.
- Microphone or camera access. Arrive uses neither.
- Contacts, photos, or anything else on your phone.
No analytics
Arrive contains no analytics library at all, and no code capable of making a network request.
Permissions the app may ask for
All optional. Refuse every one and Arrive still works.
Apple Health
With your permission, Arrive reads heart-rate variability (SDNN) to draw a weekly trend, and writes mindful minutes when you finish a practice. Health data is read on device and never leaves it. Revoke access any time in the Health app under Sharing → Apps.
Calendar
If you turn on the daily reminder, Arrive adds one recurring event to your calendar. It asks for write-only access, an iOS permission that allows adding events and does not allow reading them. Arrive cannot see any appointment you have. Delete the event or revoke the permission and the reminder goes.
Face ID
iOS performs the authentication. Arrive receives a yes or a no and never sees biometric data, which never leaves Apple's Secure Enclave.
Notifications
Arrive sends none. The daily reminder is the calendar event described above, and there is no push, no alert and no badge count. Push would need a server, and there isn't one.
Backups
Arrive has no sync of its own and no account, so we never receive a copy of anything. Your app data is included in your iPhone backup, which for most people means iCloud, and that is how your history survives a new phone. Those backups are encrypted, belong to your Apple account, and are governed by Apple's terms rather than ours. Turn off Arrive in Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage → Backups if you would rather it stayed off your backup entirely.
In-app purchase
One practice a day of your choice is free. Unlocking the full app costs $39.99, once. Apple processes the payment, and we never see your card details, billing address or Apple ID. We receive a transaction record and anonymised sales reports. There is no subscription and no renewal.
Data retention
Your data stays on your device until you delete the app, which deletes all of it at once. Encrypted iPhone backups keep a copy until you remove those backups yourself. We hold nothing, so we have nothing to retain, expire or delete on our side.
Children
Arrive is rated 13+ on the App Store and is not intended for younger children. It collects no data from anyone, of any age.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act, the UK and EU GDPR, the CCPA and comparable laws you have rights to access, correct, delete and port your personal data, and to object to its processing. Those rights are unusually simple to exercise here: we hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to produce, correct, export or erase.
To delete everything Arrive knows about you, delete the app. That is the complete procedure. For written confirmation that we hold no data on you, email [email protected] and we will confirm it.
We do not sell your data
We will never sell, share, rent or trade personal information. There is nothing in our possession to sell.
This website
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and embeds no third-party scripts, fonts or tracking pixels. Our host records standard access logs (IP address, user agent, page requested) for security and uptime; those are kept briefly and never used to profile anyone.
The one exception is the contact form on our support page. Sending it passes your email address and your message to a third-party form service so it can reach our inbox. Use [email protected] instead if you would rather that message went nowhere but our mail provider.
Changes to this policy
If Arrive ever gains a feature that handles data differently, we will update this page and note it in the app's release notes before that version ships. The date at the top reflects the current version.
